Regional Breakdown of Rainfall

Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, East Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands are expected to experience light-intensity rain. West Jakarta, however, is anticipated to see heavier, moderate-intensity showers. South Jakarta is bracing for high-intensity rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.

Looking beyond Jakarta itself, moderate-intensity rain is predicted for Bogor Regency and Bekasi, as well as the city of Depok. Bogor City and Bekasi City are expected to receive only light rain throughout the day. Similarly, Tangerang City and Tangerang Regency will likely see light rainfall, though South Tangerang may experience moderate intensity.

Data from Saturday, April 4th to Sunday, April 5th, reveals the highest rainfall in Greater Jakarta occurred in the northern part of Bogor City and surrounding areas of Bogor Regency, reaching 122.4 mm – classified as very heavy – as measured by the BMKG’s Atang Sanjaya monitoring station.

Yesterday’s rain was unevenly distributed. The western part of Jabodetabek experienced more widespread moderate-intensity rain (20-50 mm), particularly in areas like Lebak Bulus (South Jakarta) and Pantai Indah Kapuk (North Jakarta).
