San Antonio Weather: Today’s Outlook & Easter Weekend Forecast
Good morning, San Antonio! Meteorologist Sarah Spivey with the KSAT Weather Authority brings you the latest updates on our fluctuating weather patterns. While the heaviest rainfall has shifted north into the Hill Country, the San Antonio metro area could experience some scattered showers through mid-morning. Don’t let that dampen your spirits entirely – we’re looking at a 20-30% chance of additional showers this afternoon.
Today will be warm, with highs reaching the low 80s. However, all eyes are on the Easter weekend, which promises a significant shift in conditions.
Easter Weekend Weather Breakdown
Saturday: Warm & Humid, with Approaching Storms
Saturday will start pleasantly, with warm and humid conditions. However, a cold front is expected to arrive in the afternoon, bringing with it a line of showers and thunderstorms. Be prepared for breezy north winds as the front passes through. This is a good time to check the latest updates from KSAT Weather.
Easter Sunday: Showers Possible, Severe Weather Not Expected
Easter Sunday will see disturbances in the upper atmosphere moving across the region, increasing the potential for more showers. Fortunately, severe weather is not anticipated. While the exact location of the heaviest rainfall remains uncertain, it’s wise to have a backup plan for any outdoor Easter egg hunts or barbecues – just in case! You can find more information about weather safety at the National Weather Service.
Regardless of the duration of the rain, expect significantly cooler temperatures on Sunday. Highs will struggle to reach the 50s, accompanied by a strong northerly wind. Plan your Easter outfits accordingly!
