Pascal-Pierre Paillé Arrested on Sexual Offence Charges
Former Bloc Québécois Member of Parliament (MP) and teacher, Pascal-Pierre Paillé, was arrested on Tuesday by the Quebec City Police Service. He is facing serious allegations of sexual offences involving two individuals who were minors at the time of the alleged incidents.
The 47-year-old is scheduled to appear in court in Quebec City on Tuesday. The charges stem from incidents alleged to have occurred in 2006, prior to his election to the House of Commons, and in August 2024.
Details of the Allegations
The allegations from 2006 reportedly took place between January 1st and June 25th in Quebec City. Paillé is accused of sexual exploitation and sexual assault against a teenager over whom he held a position of authority. The Centre de services scolaire des Découvreurs has confirmed that Paillé was employed by them at the time.
He also faces charges of sexual contact and sexual assault against another individual under the age of 16. These alleged incidents occurred in August 2024, also in Quebec City.
