
Hill Country College Preparatory High School on Lockdown After Shooting
COMAL COUNTY, Texas – A shooting incident at Hill Country College Preparatory High School near Bulverde, Texas, prompted a campus-wide lockdown on Monday morning. Initial reports, confirmed by a source to KSAT 12 News, indicate a student and a teacher were involved.
The Comal County Sheriff’s Office announced via Facebook that one person was shot on campus and transported to a local hospital. The current status of the victim and the suspect remains unknown at this time. Law enforcement is actively securing the area and investigating the situation.

The high school, located at 3615 Mustang Vista, south of Bulverde, immediately initiated lockdown procedures. Principal Julie Wiley communicated with parents, assuring them that law enforcement officials were on-site and the building was secure. “Students and staff are in a secure area and the threat has been contained,” Wiley stated in a letter to parents.
Authorities are currently facilitating the reunification of students with their parents at Bulverde Middle School, located at 29975 Wiley Road. The Comal Independent School District is cooperating fully with the investigation.
