
FTQ Annual Seminar on Economic Policies and Public Finances – 2026
The Fédération des travailleurs du Québec (FTQ) is pleased to announce its annual seminar on economic policies and public finances, taking place on April 29th and 30th, 2026. This crucial event will be held at the Holiday Inn & Suites Montréal Centre-Ville Ouest, located at 1390 René-Lévesque Boulevard West, Montreal, Quebec, H3G 0E3.
Location & Accessibility
The venue is conveniently located near the Lucien-L’Allier metro station (orange line), and paid parking is available. We strive to make this event accessible to all participants.
Seminar Focus: Analyzing Economic Impacts & Shaping Quebec’s Future
This year’s seminar will delve into the state of public finances following the provincial and federal budget exercises. We will critically examine the economic policies influencing the industries where our members work. Participants will be challenged to assess the impact of these economic decisions on workers, households, public services, and the labour market.

- Analyzing the latest provincial and federal budgets.
- Identifying economic trends impacting Quebec’s workforce.

Together, we will explore avenues for action to enhance union involvement in shaping Quebec’s economic landscape and advocate for a more democratic and inclusive economic planning process. This seminar is a vital platform for collective discussion and strategic planning.
