While recovering at his home in Tulum, Harrison experienced excruciating pain. A local doctor administered IV fluids and morphine, but his condition worsened. His oxygen levels plummeted, and he feared for his life, unable to afford a return trip to the hospital. Friends intervened, transporting him to a more affordable facility where he underwent three surgeries and spent an additional 18 days hospitalized.

A Dire Financial Situation

Now recovering at home, Harrison is facing a bleak financial reality. He has exhausted nearly all of his funds, with a current bank balance of just $400. He is also indebted to his father and friends who generously loaned him money to cover initial expenses. Harrison provided documentation of his hospital bills to TMZ, confirming the substantial amount.

“What am I going to do, fly out to Vegas and sell stuff? I can’t move from my recliner,” Harrison reportedly stated, expressing his reluctance to ask for help but acknowledging his limited options. While he receives some residual income from Pawn Stars reruns, he is no longer involved with the show.

Rick Harrison, Corey’s father, acknowledged the situation, stating, “Corey is a grown man and he will deal with his life as he sees fit.”
