Alex Fraser Bridge Gridlock: Commute Disrupted in Vancouver
Vancouver commuters faced significant delays Tuesday morning as traffic on the Alex Fraser Bridge between Richmond and Delta came to a standstill. A semi-truck collision with the median near the north end of the bridge has reduced traffic flow to a single lane in each direction, causing extensive backups. The incident is also impacting traffic on the East-West Connector.
Adding to the transportation woes, a separate crash is affecting traffic flow through the George Massey Tunnel. Furthermore, both the stal̕əw̓asəm and Pattullo bridges remain closed until February 13th, exacerbating congestion throughout the Lower Mainland.
