Hardee’s Goes Big on Beef and Berries with New Menu Items
Hardee’s is making a bold move to revitalize its business with the introduction of a new lineup of prime rib sandwiches and a vibrant Triple Berry beverage platform, launching April 15, 2026. This strategic shift aims to capitalize on current consumer trends, particularly the demand for high-quality protein and exciting beverage options.
The “Prime Experience”: A Beef Lover’s Dream
The centerpiece of Hardee’s new offerings is the “Prime Experience,” featuring three distinct prime rib creations:
- The Prime Rib Burger: A juicy beef patty topped with tender prime rib dipped in au jus, complemented by garlic cheddar sauce and grilled onions, all served on a toasted brioche-style bun. Loyalty program members (MyRewards) can enjoy this for $5.99.
- The Prime Rib Breakfast Burrito: Packed with 36 grams of protein, this burrito features prime rib wrapped in a tortilla with hash rounds, egg, and cheese – a hearty way to start the day.
- The Prime Rib Biscuit: Combining the comfort of a biscuit with the richness of prime rib, American cheese, and a fried egg, this option delivers 31 grams of protein.
“The star of this lineup is the technique and quality,” says Sarah Breymaier, VP of marketing for Hardee’s. “We’ve taken one of the most iconic cuts of beef and reimagined it across our entire menu.”
A Berry Refreshing Beverage Lineup
Alongside the prime rib offerings, Hardee’s is introducing a Triple Berry beverage platform to cater to the growing demand for flavorful drinks. The lineup includes:
- Triple Berry Tea: Hardee’s signature sweet tea blended with blackberry, raspberry, and strawberry.
- Triple Berry Sparkler: A fruity mix of fruit juice and Sprite.
- Triple Berry Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shake: A classic shake with a berry twist.
Adding to the sweet treats, the Star-Spangled Biscuit features raspberry, strawberry, and blueberry flavors drizzled with icing. For coffee lovers, the Mocha Freeze blends vanilla ice cream, cold coffee, and chocolate syrup, topped with whipped cream.
Addressing Recent Challenges
This menu overhaul comes at a crucial time for Hardee’s, as the chain works to overcome recent sales declines. System sales in the U.S. decreased by 5% last year, totaling just over $2 billion, with average-unit volumes falling 1.5% to $1.3 million. With nearly 1,500 U.S. restaurants and approximately 500 international locations (according to Technomic), Hardee’s is hoping these new offerings will attract customers and boost performance.
