Golf icon John Daly recently provided fans with a good laugh – and perhaps a moment of concern – after sharing a video of himself taking an unexpected tumble down a desert hill. The incident occurred at La Paloma Country Club during the Cologuard Classic, as Daly attempted a shot onto the green.

In the video, Daly loses his footing in the sand, resulting in a comical slide down the slope. Thankfully, he was unharmed, and even added a humorous touch by overlaying the video with the theme music from the “Jackass” franchise. He playfully captioned the video, “Bellyfloppin’ in the desert,” and acknowledged his caddie, Joel Cooley, who quickly rushed to his aid.

Despite the playful mishap, Daly remains a prominent figure in the world of golf. He primarily competes on the Champions Tour, for former PGA Tour players aged 50 and over. He recently finished tied for 29th at the Cologuard Classic with a 6-under tournament score.

Beyond his on-course performance, Daly has been recognized for his contributions both on and off the course. He was recently named the 2026 Ambassador of Golf Award honoree, an honor recognizing individuals who make a significant impact in the golf community and beyond.
