The recent threat of severe weather along the Gulf Coast has subsided after a line of strong thunderstorms swept through the region on Monday evening. While the immediate danger has passed, the impact was felt with significant wind gusts reported across Southwest Florida. Bonita Springs experienced gusts as high as 53 mph, closely followed by Fort Myers at 52 mph. Even Grove City saw strong winds, with a reported gust of 43 mph.
