Pasadena, TX – February 17, 2026 – Houston police responded to a report of a suspicious person at Dobie High School this morning, prompting a precautionary lockdown of the campus. The incident occurred around 8:00 AM at the school located on Blackhawk Boulevard.
According to Pasadena Independent School District (Pasadena ISD), the lockdown was initiated after a student reported a possible firearm on campus. Authorities acted swiftly, and currently, there is no confirmed threat. All students and staff are reported to be safe.

The lockdown was implemented to ensure the safety of everyone on campus while the situation is thoroughly assessed. Students are being supervised by staff, and safety protocols are being followed. At this time, parents should not come to campus, as this may interfere with emergency operations. We ask for your patience and cooperation while the investigation continues.”
