United Airlines is set to redefine the Economy travel experience with the introduction of the United Relax Row, a groundbreaking seating option designed to provide enhanced comfort on long-haul flights. This innovative feature transforms a dedicated row of three seats into a couch-like space, offering a more relaxing and spacious environment for passengers.
What is the United Relax Row?
The United Relax Row features individually adjustable leg rests that fold up to a 90-degree angle, creating ample room to sleep, stretch out, or enjoy in-flight entertainment. This dedicated space is perfect for families with young children, couples seeking a more comfortable journey, and solo travelers desiring extra room without the premium price tag of higher cabin classes.

Rollout and Availability
United plans to launch the United Relax Row in 2027, initially on more than 200 Boeing 787 and Boeing 777 widebody aircraft by 2030. Each plane will feature up to 12 United Relax Row sections, strategically located between United Economy and United Premium Plus®. United is the first North American airline to offer this unique seating design, solidifying its position as an industry leader in passenger comfort.
