The new Steam Machine is designed as a portable mini PC, housed within a compact 6-inch black cube. Despite the reaffirmed commitment, the global chip shortage remains a significant factor. Nvidia’s finance chief, Colette Kress, predicted in February that the shortage of gaming chips could persist until the end of 2026, citing the overwhelming demand from the AI industry exceeding console sales.
