Spectrum Outage Disrupts Service in Casper, Wyoming
CASPER, Wyo. – Residents in Casper, Wyoming, and neighboring communities like Bar Nunn and Mills are currently experiencing a significant Spectrum outage affecting both internet and cable services. The disruption began Sunday morning, leaving many without connectivity.
What We Know About the Spectrum Outage
According to an automated text message sent to customers from Spectrum Service, the estimated time for full service restoration is around 1:30 p.m. Mountain Time. However, some users report receiving notifications indicating a potential fix by 12:30 p.m.
Reports are flooding social media, particularly within the Casper Classifieds Facebook group, confirming widespread service interruptions. Users are sharing screenshots of outage notifications and expressing frustration with the lack of connectivity.
Oil City News has reached out to a Spectrum spokesperson for official comment and further details regarding the cause and scope of the outage. We will update this article as more information becomes available.
Mobile Services Remain Operational
Fortunately, the current Spectrum outage is not impacting mobile services in Casper. This is a welcome distinction from a similar incident in April 2025, when a Bluepeak subcontractor inadvertently severed critical fiberoptic cables, causing widespread outages for both Verizon and Spectrum customers for several hours.
