Navy Midshipmen: Powering Through the Ground Game
The Midshipmen (1-1) enter this game with a potent rushing attack that can wear down any defense. Despite a narrow 38-30 loss to Florida Atlantic, Navy showed incredible resilience, scoring 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to keep the game competitive until the final whistle.
Key performers to watch include Jackson Gutierrez, who recently hammered out 100 yards on the ground, and Braxton Woodson, who added another 96 yards. If Navy can maintain this offensive momentum, they will be a formidable force against UAB.
UAB Blazers: Defensive Grit and Home Turf Advantage
The UAB Blazers (1-2) are returning home for their American Conference opener, looking to shake off a tough 21-14 loss to Louisiana. While their offense struggled to find the end zone, the Blazers’ defense proved to be a powerhouse, forcing two fumbles—one of which was returned for a touchdown by Chris Burge.
With quarterback Ryder Burton leading the charge, UAB will be relying on their defensive tenacity and the energy of the home crowd to secure a victory in this highly anticipated matchup.
