Mizzou Football Celebrates a Century of History: Tigers vs. Troy Preview

It is more than just another game for Mizzou football this weekend. As the Missouri Tigers prepare to take on the Troy Trojans, the atmosphere in Columbia will be electric, not only because of the stakes on the field but because of a monumental milestone: the 100th anniversary of Memorial Stadium.

An Undefeated Clash: No. 22 Mizzou vs. Troy

Coming off a dominant performance against Kansas—marking their fifth consecutive victory in the legendary Border War series—the Tigers enter this matchup with a 2-0 record and a strong No. 22 ranking in the USA TODAY US LBM coaches poll. Mizzou is looking to maintain this momentum before diving into the grueling SEC schedule.

However, the visitors are no pushovers. The Troy Trojans also arrive undefeated (2-0), having secured convincing wins over Alabama State and Sam Houston. With a history of competitiveness, including a trip to the Sun Belt Conference title game in 2025, Troy presents a formidable challenge for the Tigers on their historic home turf.
