High Stakes at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado: LDU Quito vs. Always Ready
The excitement of the Copa Libertadores 2026 reaches a fever pitch as LDU Quito prepares to host Always Ready in a decisive encounter. The match, scheduled for this Tuesday at 17:00, takes place at the iconic Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado, where the Ecuadorian side looks to maintain its dominance in Group G.
Current Standings and Group G Dynamics
As we enter the final matchday of the group stage, the situation for both teams couldn’t be more different. LDU Quito has already secured its ticket to the Round of 16, showcasing the strength and consistency that make them a powerhouse in South American football.
- Mirassol: 12 points (Group leaders)
- LDU Quito: 9 points (Already qualified)
- Lanús: 6 points
- Always Ready: 3 points (Bottom of the group)
LDU Quito: Maintaining Momentum
The “Albo” enters this match with the confidence of qualification, though they are still fighting for the best possible seeding. Locally, LDU is competing fiercely in the Liga Ecuabet, currently sitting in third place with 24 points. Following a recent 1-1 draw against Deportivo Cuenca, the team is eager to use their home-field advantage to close the group stage on a high note.
Always Ready: The Quest for a Miracle
For the Bolivian side, led by coach Marcelo Straccia, the mission is clear but daunting. With only one victory in five matches (a surprising 4-0 win over Lanús), Always Ready is fighting for survival. To stay in the continental competition via the CONMEBOL Sudamericana repechage, they need a perfect storm: a victory in Quito and a loss for Lanús against Mirassol.
