Kevin Patullo: Miami Dolphins Hire Former Eagles Coordinator

Kevin Patullo Joins the Miami Dolphins as Pass-Game Coordinator

The Miami Dolphins have made a significant addition to their offensive coaching staff, announcing the hiring of Kevin Patullo as the team’s new pass-game coordinator. This move comes as head coach Jeff Hafley continues to assemble his team, working alongside offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo first reported the signing, signaling a strategic move by the Dolphins to bolster their passing attack. The Philadelphia Eagles, after allowing Patullo to seek other opportunities following a change at offensive coordinator, saw him land in Miami.

Patullo’s Extensive NFL Experience

Patullo brings a wealth of experience to South Florida, having spent the last four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He served as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator in 2025, following a successful run as pass-game coordinator and associate head coach from 2021-2024. While his time in Philadelphia ended after the offense didn’t meet expectations this past season, his prior success is undeniable.

Before his tenure with the Eagles, Patullo honed his skills with several other NFL teams, including the Indianapolis Colts (where he coached wide receivers and specialized in the pass game), the New York Jets (as a quarterbacks coach), and also had stints with the Titans, Bills, and Chiefs. He also served as a Senior offensive analyst at Texas A&M.

A Return to South Florida

This move is particularly noteworthy as Patullo grew up in South Florida, making his return to the area a homecoming of sorts. The Dolphins are hoping he can replicate the offensive success he helped build with the Eagles before the 2025 season. The team is looking for a spark in their passing game, and Patullo’s expertise is expected to be a key component.

The hiring of Patullo fills a crucial role following the departure of Darrell Bevell, who recently agreed to join the Carolina Panthers as their quarterbacks coach and pass-game coordinator.

Remaining Coaching Staff Needs

While the addition of Patullo is a positive step, Jeff Hafley’s coaching staff still has some vacancies to fill. Notably, the team is still searching for a quarterbacks coach and an offensive line guru – positions vital to the success of any NFL offense.
