His outstanding performance earned him a spot on the conference’s All-Rookie Team after a stellar 2024-25 season where he amassed 37 points (11 goals, 26 assists).

Over two seasons (2024-26) with Boston College, Hagens skated in 71 games, accumulating 34 goals and 50 assists for a remarkable 84 points. His consistent scoring ability and playmaking skills were instrumental to the Eagles’ success.
USNTDP Standout
Hagens’ development began with the United States National Team Development Program (USNTDP) where he spent two seasons (2022-24). He excelled, recording an astounding 72 goals and 115 assists for 187 points – the fifth-most in program history. This demonstrates his long-standing commitment to excellence.
International Success
The Hauppauge, New York native has proudly represented the United States on the international stage, participating in two IIHF World Junior Championships (2025, 2026) and two IIHF U-18 Men’s World Championships (2023, 2024). He secured gold medals at the 2025 World Juniors and the 2023 U-18 tournaments. Notably, Hagens holds the IIHF U-18 Men’s World Championship single-tournament scoring record with 22 points in 2024, earning him tournament MVP honors and a silver medal for the United States.
