Pakistan Announces Squad for Billie Jean King Cup Juniors Pre-Qualifying Event
LAHORE – The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has announced a dynamic three-member squad to represent the nation at the prestigious Billie Jean King Cup Juniors (U-16) Pre-Qualifying Event. The event is scheduled to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from March 16 to 21, 2026.
Following rigorous two-day trials held at the PTF Tennis Complex in Islamabad on February 14th and 15th, Hajra Sohail, Zunaisha Noor, and Romaisa Malik have earned their place on the team. These young athletes demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the selection process.
Selection Process & Rising Talent
Six of Pakistan’s most promising young tennis players were invited to participate in the trials, based on their recent performances and national rankings. The selection panel was particularly impressed by the consistency and disciplined approach displayed by the final trio. This event represents a crucial step in their development as future tennis stars.
