Abbotsford, BC – Three individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries after an SUV collided with a tree on Old Yale Road in Abbotsford on April 9th. The incident unfolded following a two-vehicle collision and a subsequent attempt to evade police.

The Sequence of Events

According to Abbotsford Police, officers were initially dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on the eastbound Highway 11 off-ramp at Old Yale Road. While en route, they received reports that a blue Hyundai SUV involved in the initial collision had fled the scene at a high speed.

Dashcam footage released by the Abbotsford Police Department shows the SUV travelling eastbound on Old Yale Road, crossing into oncoming traffic, leaving the roadway, and ultimately impacting a tree in Crossley Park. You can view the footage here (Global News).

Injuries and Hospitalization

All three occupants of the SUV were transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure. Authorities have confirmed that their injuries were not considered serious.
