Severe Weather Outlook
The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of the WLKY viewing area under an enhanced risk (Level 3 of 5) for severe storms. This system is characterized by significant wind energy and is expected to deliver a powerful punch as it crosses the region.
Key Threats:
- Damaging Winds: Scattered, very strong wind gusts up to 75 mph are possible.
- Tornadoes: A few brief, spin-up tornadoes are possible.
- Rapid Temperature Drop: Temperatures will plummet after the front passes, falling into the 30s with wind chills in the 20s on Monday.
