Keurig Class Action Canada: Are You Eligible for a Payout?

If you are a coffee lover in Canada who relies on the convenience of Keurig brewing systems, you might be entitled to a piece of a significant legal settlement. A class action lawsuit has been settled regarding the way Keurig marketed its K-Cup pods, specifically focusing on claims about their recyclability and disposability.

The settlement, totaling $1.85 million, was approved in January to compensate Canadian consumers who may have been misled by the packaging of their coffee pods and machines. If you’ve used these products, now is the time to act before the deadline passes.

Who is Eligible for the Keurig Settlement?

You are considered a member of this class action if you meet the following criteria:

    n

  • You reside in Canada.
  • You purchased Keurig K-Cup single-serve coffee pods and/or Keurig coffee machines (brewing systems).
  • Your purchase was made between June 8, 2016, and December 8, 2025.
  • The products were sold in packaging that contained representations regarding their recyclability or disposability.

How Much Money Can You Receive?

The amount of your payout depends largely on whether you have proof of purchase (such as receipts, email confirmations, or shipping logs). While proof isn’t mandatory to file a claim, it can significantly increase your payment.

Payment Breakdown:

  • Proof of Purchase for 14+ Pods: Eligible for up to $0.05 per K-Cup pod, with a maximum cap of $50 per household.
  • Proof of Brewer + At Least One Pod: Eligible for up to $25.
