According to reports from local authorities, the accident took place around 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The crash occurred on Mo-96, approximately one-third of a mile east of Mo-43. Emergency services, including the Oronogo Fire Department, Jasper County Deputies, and METS ambulance, responded quickly to the scene.

• The Vehicle: Matt Miller, a 42-year-old resident of Webb City, Mo., was driving a 2023 Ford Bronco eastbound on Mo-96.

• The Incident: For reasons still under investigation, the Bronco crossed the center line, resulting in a head-on collision with a westbound semi-tractor trailer.

• The Other Party: The semi, a 2024 International model driven by a 28-year-old man from Springfield, Mo., was involved in the crash; fortunately, the truck driver remained uninjured.

Current Condition and Recovery

Due to the severity of the impact, Matt Miller sustained serious injuries. He was airlifted from the scene to Mercy Joplin for urgent medical treatment.
