Cincinnati Braces for Snow: Winter Weather Advisory Issued
CINCINNATI (February 27, 2024) – The FOX19 NOW Weather Team has declared Tuesday and Friday as First Alert Weather Days as Cincinnati prepares for a return of wintry conditions. A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect, signaling potential travel disruptions and hazardous conditions.
Snowfall Predictions & Timing
Residents can expect snowfall accumulations ranging from 1 to 3 inches, with Northern Kentucky anticipated to receive the highest amounts. The primary snowfall window is currently projected from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday. A second, less significant chance of snow is forecast for Friday.
The weather team notes that a clipper system will be sweeping through the Tri-State on Friday, potentially bringing a wintry mix of snow and sleet. While not expected to be a major event, it warrants continued monitoring.
Temperature Outlook
Tuesday’s high temperature will struggle to climb above freezing, creating ideal conditions for snow accumulation. Fortunately, temperatures are expected to rise into the mid-30s on Friday, potentially mitigating some of the snowfall impact.
