Protect Your Health: Influenza Vaccination Now Available at Shopping Salvador Norte

In a strategic move to safeguard the population during the peak of respiratory virus circulation, the city of Salvador has expanded its immunization efforts. A dedicated influenza vaccination room has officially opened its doors at Shopping Salvador Norte, located in the São Cristóvão neighborhood.

This initiative, led by the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS) of Salvador, aims to decentralize health services and make it easier for priority groups to receive their shots in a convenient, accessible environment.

Where and When to Get Vaccinated

If you belong to a priority group, you can visit the vaccination point at the following location and schedule:

  • Location: Shopping Salvador Norte, Floor L2 (near the Renner store).
  • Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Availability: The service is available until May 22.

Who is Eligible? (Priority Groups)

To ensure the protection of those most vulnerable, the vaccination at Shopping Salvador Norte is exclusively for people aged 12 and older who fall into the following priority groups:

  • Pregnant women and women up to 45 days postpartum (puérperas).
  • Elderly individuals (60 years or older).
  • Indigenous peoples and Quilombola communities.
  • People experiencing homelessness.
  • Basic and higher education teachers.
  • Health professionals, security forces, and rescue workers.
  • Armed Forces personnel.
  • People with permanent disabilities.
  • Truck drivers and public road transport workers.
  • Port workers and Postal Service employees.
  • Staff from the prison system.
  • Adolescents and young people (12-21) under socio-educational measures.
  • People with non-communicable chronic diseases or special clinical conditions, regardless of age.

What if I am not in a priority group?

Don’t worry! While the shopping center location is reserved for priority groups, the city of Salvador maintains a robust network of health services. There are 162 other vaccination rooms spread across the capital, available to the general public.
