Noah Igbinoghene Joins the Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have bolstered their cornerback depth with the signing of veteran Noah Igbinoghene on March 17, 2026. Igbinoghene, a former first-round pick, brings a wealth of experience and versatility to the team, hoping to make a significant impact in the Pacific Northwest.

A Journey Through the NFL

Igbinoghene’s NFL journey began with the Miami Dolphins, where he spent the first three seasons of his career, appearing in 32 games. He was then traded to the Dallas Cowboys ahead of the 2023 season, playing in five games before joining the Washington Commanders for the past two seasons. Throughout his six-year career, the 5’11”, 197-pound cornerback has amassed 119 tackles, 1.0 sack, two fumble recoveries, 17 passes defensed, and one interception, starting in 17 games.

Igbinoghene’s Perspective

The opportunity to join the Seahawks wasn’t entirely new for Igbinoghene. “Had an opportunity to come here last year, didn’t choose to, so now, choose the right side this time,” he stated. “So, I’m excited to see how it goes. I’m excited for the opportunity.” He believes he fits seamlessly into the Seahawks’ culture and defensive scheme.

What Igbinoghene Brings to Seattle

The Seahawks are looking for Igbinoghene to provide valuable depth at the cornerback position. He describes himself as a “champion at heart,” emphasizing his dedication to physical and mental conditioning. “Someone who takes care of his body, takes care of himself, takes care of his mind, all parts of himself, and someone who’s going to come in and be physical,” he explained. He feels his skillset aligns perfectly with the team’s needs.

Beyond Defense: Special Teams Prowess

Igbinoghene’s versatility extends beyond defense. He also has experience as a kick returner, dating back to his high school and college days. “It’s something I’ve been doing since high school,” he shared. “I played receiver in high school, and a little bit in college as well… I’ve been doing it the last couple of years, too. Did it a lot more last year. And so, if I’m called to do that here, then I’ll do it.”

Looking Ahead

The Seahawks are hoping Igbinoghene can contribute immediately, adding experience and competition to a crucial position. His dedication and well-rounded skillset make him a promising addition to the team as they prepare for the 2026 season. Stay tuned for updates on his progress and impact on the field!
