Nike Air Max Plus Receives the ‘Neon’ Treatment Ahead of March 2026 Air Max 95 Re-Release
The iconic gray gradient and highlighter yellow aesthetic, famously known as ‘Neon,’ is making its way to another classic Nike silhouette: the Air Max Plus. Following the announcement of the Air Max 90 receiving the same treatment, Nike Sportswear is expanding the ‘Neon’ influence across its Air Max line.
Currently available at Nike’s online store and select retailers, the Air Max Plus boasts a striking White/Pearl Gray/Black/Neon Yellow color scheme. This new iteration directly echoes the Air Max 95’s most celebrated colorway, featuring a mesh upper that seamlessly transitions from dark to light gray. Crisp white shoelaces complement the design, while a black midsole provides a grounding contrast. The signature visible Air units and branding are, of course, highlighted in vibrant neon yellow.

Timing with the Air Max 95 OG Reissue
This release is strategically timed to coincide with the wider re-release of the Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Neon, scheduled for March 5th, 2026. While a ‘Big Bubble’ version dropped in April 2025, it was available in limited quantities. The upcoming release promises to be the most accessible opportunity yet to snag this legendary sneaker.
A Legacy of Innovation: The Air Max Plus
Debuted in 1998, the Sean McDowell-designed Air Max Plus quickly gained popularity thanks to its innovative Tuned Air cushioning system. Often referred to as Air Max TN or Nike Tuned, particularly in Australia where it enjoys a dedicated following, the model has seen various colorways over the years. However, this ‘Neon’ iteration represents the most direct inspiration from the Air Max 95 to date.
While the Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble and Neon Air Max 90 launches are still on the horizon, the Air Max Plus is available now at nike.com and select retailers for $190. The style code for this sneaker is IQ0288-100.
