John Force Racing Gears Up for a Thrilling 2026 Season
John Force Racing (JFR) is entering a dynamic new chapter for the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season. With an expanded roster of drivers, seasoned crew chiefs, and dedicated crew members, the organization – already boasting an impressive 24 championships – is laser-focused on adding to its legacy of success.
“This is a great time to be part of John Force Racing and I’m more excited about getting the season going than I have been in a long time,” declared 16-time NHRA Funny Car World Champion and team owner John Force. “There are new crew chiefs and crew members bringing fresh blood to the race shop, sharing their experience and know-how with the crew chiefs and crew already established here who have won races and championships and set national records. We’re back to having four teams in Top Fuel and Funny Car and I can’t wait to see them go down the track at Gainesville.”
Driver and Crew Chief Lineup for 2026
- Jack Beckman & PEAK Antifreeze Chevrolet Funny Car: Veteran crew chiefs Danny Hood and Tim Fabrisi will continue to lead Beckman’s team. Beckman enjoyed a strong 2025 season, finishing third in the point standings with two victories (Pomona 1, Chicago) and multiple qualifying successes.
- Jordan Vandergriff & Cornwell Tools Funny Car: Chris Cunningham, a long-time JFR crew chief, joins forces with Jason Bunker (formerly with Cruz Pedregon Racing) to guide Vandergriff in his Funny Car debut. Vandergriff brings Top Fuel experience, including a runner-up finish at Dallas in 2019.
- Josh Hart & John Force Racing Top Fuel Dragster: David Grubnic and John Collins will continue their work on the Top Fuel Dragster, now with Josh Hart at the helm and a new partnership with Hart’s Burnyzz Speed Shop. Grubnic and Collins previously guided Brittany Force to a fourth-place finish in 2025, setting speed records along the way. NHRA is the premier sanctioning body for drag racing.
- Alexis DeJoria & Bandero Premium Tequila Chevrolet SS Funny Car: Mike Neff, with his extensive experience as both driver and crew chief at JFR, teams up with two-time Top Alcohol Funny Car world champ Jonnie Lindberg to lead DeJoria’s team.
The 2026 season promises to be a thrilling competition, with John Force Racing poised to challenge for championships in both Top Fuel and Funny Car. The blend of experienced leadership and fresh talent creates a dynamic environment for success.
