Emerald Cruises is thrilled to announce the arrival of its newest mega yacht, the Emerald Kaia, ready to welcome guests aboard for its inaugural cruise on April 4, 2026. Delivered earlier this year by the Halong Shipyard in Vietnam, this stunning 128-passenger ship marks a significant expansion of Emerald Cruises’ oceangoing fleet.
Inaugural Season: Europe & the Eastern Mediterranean
The Emerald Kaia will begin its journey with an 11-night cruise from Limassol, Cyprus, exploring the captivating Eastern Mediterranean. This initial voyage promises a rich tapestry of culture and history, with stops in Greece and Turkey. Highlights include visits to the idyllic islands of Rhodes, Delos, and Nisiros, as well as Kusadasi, offering convenient access to the ancient city of Ephesus – a UNESCO World Heritage site. This cruise is a perfect introduction to the luxury and immersive experiences Emerald Cruises is known for.
Exploring the Greek Islands & Adriatic Sea
Following its maiden voyage, the 20,000-ton vessel will offer a series of sailings throughout the Greek Islands and the Adriatic Sea. A particularly unique experience will be the transit of the Corinth Canal, a remarkable waterway in Greece accessible only to smaller ships like the Emerald Kaia. This offers a truly intimate and scenic cruising experience.
Winter Escape: Seychelles & East Africa
As the seasons change, the Emerald Kaia will reposition to the Indian Ocean in December, offering a series of eight- to 20-night itineraries to the breathtaking Seychelles and the exotic landscapes of East Africa. Imagine pristine beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and unique wildlife – a winter escape unlike any other! The Seychelles, with its granite boulders and turquoise waters, is a dream destination for many, and the Emerald Kaia provides a luxurious way to experience its beauty. Slightly larger than its predecessors, the Emerald Kaia boasts 64 luxurious suites and introduces exciting new features. Future Expansion
The Emerald Kaia is the first of three sister ships. The Emerald Raiya and the Emerald Xara are scheduled to enter service in 2027 and 2028, respectively, further solidifying Emerald Cruises’ position as a leader in luxury cruising. The Caribbean will also welcome the Emerald Kaia for the 2027-28 winter season.
