Wichita Restaurant FioRito Gears Up for a Record-Breaking Valentine’s Day Weekend
WICHITA, Kan. – With Valentine’s Day landing on a Saturday this year, FioRito, a popular dining destination located at Douglas and Hillside in Wichita, is anticipating an unprecedented influx of diners. Reservations have been fully booked for weeks, signaling a potentially record-breaking weekend for the restaurant.
Co-owner Jordan Rickard shared, “Saturdays are always bustling this time of year, and Valentine’s Day consistently draws a crowd. This year, we’re expecting one of the busiest Valentine’s Day weekends we’ve ever experienced at the restaurant.”
All Hands on Deck for a Marathon Weekend
Preparing for such a surge requires a coordinated team effort. Aubrey Pennington, a manager at FioRito, emphasized the importance of meticulous preparation. “My focus is ensuring we have ample supplies and, most importantly, that our guests are happy. We want to create a positive atmosphere where everyone is in good spirits and ready for a busy weekend. It’s going to be a marathon, not a sprint!”
The Valentine’s Day rush isn’t limited to just Saturday evening. FioRito anticipates being fully booked throughout the entire weekend, including Sunday brunch. Pennington estimates they will serve approximately 400 people over the four days.
“Considering our dining room accommodates around 40 guests, it’s going to be a lively and energetic weekend,” Pennington added. The demand for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at a local restaurant is clearly high.
