Oceania Beloeil: Splashdown After Years of Anticipation!
After numerous delays spanning several years, the highly anticipated Oceania water park in Beloeil is finally opening its doors just in time for Spring Break! This exciting news has residents of Beloeil and beyond eagerly awaiting a fun-filled aquatic escape.
A Massive Aquatic Playground
Spanning an impressive 85,000 square feet, Oceania is designed to accommodate up to 1,000 visitors. The park boasts 12 thrilling attractions, cleverly divided into themed zones, promising an unforgettable experience for all ages. Originally slated to open in 2020, the project faced significant hurdles due to the global pandemic and subsequent supply chain issues.
“Things really started to unravel with the pandemic,” explains Paul Sainte-Marie, Marketing Director, in an interview with À vos affaires. “We experienced delays due to the pandemic itself, as well as difficulties with subcontractors. Construction projects of this scale are costly, and some contractors weren’t able to weather the economic storm. We had to find replacements.”
Ticket Prices and What You Need to Know
Before its grand opening, the park’s ticket prices sparked discussion on social media. Admission will range from $42 to $49. Sainte-Marie defends the pricing, citing current economic realities. “It’s unfortunate, but it’s a necessity. All activities have costs, and we need to ensure profitability. Inflation and rising costs are factors we have to contend with. To offset this, we offer a family rate – four children and above, with the fourth child admitted free, but proof of age is required.”
A welcome perk for families: Oceania allows visitors to bring their own lunches, offering a cost-saving option.
