Quebec’s favourite horticulturalist, Marthe Laverdière, is set to brighten up your spring! Fans can look forward to the return of her popular show, Planter avec Marthe, on TVA, alongside an exciting new venture on illico+.

A New Perspective: ‘Marthe: Ma vie “normale”’

Laverdière, known for her warm and approachable style of sharing gardening tips and tricks with her community, is opening up her personal life in a brand new documentary series, Marthe: Ma vie “normale”. Premiering on illico+ on April 23rd, the series promises an intimate look at the life behind the green thumb.

The trailer, unveiled during TVA’s spring programming launch, showcases a candid and busy Marthe Laverdière. In a particularly poignant moment, she shares, “After my children and my husband, the best thing that happened to me in my life was my depression.” This reveals a willingness to discuss a challenging period in her life and highlights the importance of connection with loved ones.

‘Planter avec Marthe’ Returns for a Third Season

Mark your calendars! On April 27th, Marthe Laverdière will be back on TVA for the third season of Planter avec Marthe. The show will once again feature visits to artists and public figures, or welcome them into her greenhouse to (re)learn the fundamentals of gardening. Expect plenty of practical advice and inspiring moments.
