Julia, known from the popular French dating show L’amour est dans le pré (Love is in the Meadow), is navigating a particularly challenging period in her life. Following a painful split from Ludovic, the young farmer is now facing a health crisis requiring surgical intervention. This comes as a significant blow after a period of emotional turmoil.
A Difficult Breakup and Its Aftermath
In January, Julia publicly announced her separation from Ludovic, whom she met on L’amour est dans le pré. The breakup was described as deeply hurtful, with Julia alleging she felt “injured, manipulated, and traumatized” not only by her ex-partner but also by his family. She took a step back from social media for several weeks to protect her well-being, returning on March 19th with a message of resilience.
“I’m slowly returning here. The last few weeks have been complicated for me; I needed to protect myself and take a step back. I can’t explain everything right now, but I’ll talk to you when the time is right,” she shared with her followers.
Julia had relocated from the French Riviera to Occitanie to build a life with Ludovic. After the breakup, she found herself needing to rebuild from scratch, relying on the support of her loved ones. The situation was further complicated by the timing, as she had been preparing for a crucial step in their future plans.
A New Health Challenge: Gallbladder Issues
On Wednesday, April 15th, Julia revealed a new health hurdle. Following a “major liver crisis,” doctors discovered a gallstone in her gallbladder. The stone is “quite large,” making natural resolution unlikely. “There are complications because it can get stuck,” she explained. This necessitates surgery – not just removal of the stone, but complete removal of the gallbladder.
“It’s not just an operation to remove the stone; no, they have to remove the gallbladder entirely. I won’t lie, I would have preferred to be left alone to live with it, but that’s not the case,” she admitted.
Before the surgery, Julia underwent a CT scan with contrast and is scheduled to meet with her surgeon on Thursday, April 16th. Despite her anxiety, she’s striving to remain positive: “In the meantime, I’m trying to stay positive and not overthink things. We’ll take things one step at a time.”
The Impact of Ludovic’s Behavior
Julia previously shared that Ludovic’s behavior shifted dramatically around the time she was preparing for a Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) – a necessary procedure given her genetic condition and their plans to start a family.
“When I returned, Ludovic completely changed. (…) He left me without any explanation, went away for a week, and when he came back with his father, he kicked me out and even changed the locks… Since then, I haven’t heard from him, and his family has completely cut us off,” she wrote on Instagram.
Finding Strength and Support
Despite these hardships, Julia is focusing on rebuilding her life. She’s grateful for the support of fellow farmers from the show, with whom she’s forged “beautiful connections and real friendships.” Her story is a testament to resilience and the importance of community during difficult times.
