FEQ 2026: Pierre Lapointe to Headline Closing Night with Quebec Symphony Orchestra
Just 48 hours before the official lineup reveal for the Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ), one thing is certain: Pierre Lapointe will be headlining the closing night! The acclaimed Quebec artist will be joined by the Quebec Symphony Orchestra on July 19th at Place George-V to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his iconic album, La forêt des mal-aimés.
Lapointe announced the performance himself on Saturday evening during his appearance on the show En direct de l’Univers. He is also expected to perform songs from his latest album, Dix chansons démodées pour ceux qui ont le cœur abîmé, during the show. Interestingly, this performance is also scheduled for the Francos de Montréal on June 19th, 2006.
The Only Confirmed Act (So Far)
Currently, Pierre Lapointe is the only artist officially confirmed for the upcoming FEQ, which runs from July 9th to 19th. However, speculation is rife regarding other potential headliners. Rumors have been circulating about performances from Gwen Stefani, The Lumineers, Limp Bizkit, and Michael Bublé.
Souldia Potentially Holding the 2026 Carte Blanche
On the Quebec front, Souldia is reportedly in line to be the 2026 “carte blanche” artist, meaning he’ll have significant creative control over a portion of the festival’s programming. This is exciting news for fans of Quebec’s vibrant music scene.
The anticipation is building as the full FEQ 2026 lineup is set to be unveiled soon. Stay tuned for more updates!
