Connor Storrie to Make Saturday Night Live Hosting Debut
Connor Storrie is set to host Saturday Night Live for the first time on February 28th, the show announced during tonight’s episode. Joining him will be the acclaimed musical group, Mumford & Sons.
The actor, currently experiencing a meteoric rise to fame thanks to his role in Heated Rivalry, has quickly become a household name. Alongside co-star Hudson Williams, Storrie has transitioned from a relatively unknown working actor to a prominent figure, presenting at the Golden Globes, carrying the Olympic torch, and making appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers. He’s even secured a front-row seat at YSL’s Paris Fashion Week show and become the newest ambassador for the French luxury fashion house.
From ‘Joker’ to Studio 8H
This marks Storrie’s first time hosting SNL, a move that felt almost inevitable given his recent success. Before his breakout role as Ilya Rozanov, the Russian hockey phenom in Heated Rivalry (created by Jacob Tierney), Storrie was credited as Young Inmate in Joker: Folie à deux. Beyond acting, Storrie is known for his involvement in the Los Angeles clown scene, a background that suggests he’ll seamlessly adapt to the fast-paced, sketch-based format of SNL.
SNL previously parodied Heated Rivalry upon its midseason return, featuring host Finn Wolfhard and cast member Ben Marshall in a humorous sketch titled “Heated Wizardry.”
Ticket Demand and Airing Details
According to Seth Meyers, the demand for personal ticket requests for Storrie’s appearance has been exceptionally high, second only to Taylor Swift’s recent late-night visit. This indicates a highly anticipated debut that promises to energize 30 Rock with enthusiastic cheers.
Saturday Night Live will be back on air February 28th, broadcasting live on NBC and Peacock, Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT. The show is produced by Broadway Video in association with creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels.
Stay tuned for more updates on Connor Storrie’s SNL debut!
