The Truth is Now in Bricks: Everything You Need to Know About the X-Files LEGO Set

For decades, fans have looked to the skies wondering if we are alone in the universe. Now, LEGO has provided a way to bring that paranormal mystery right onto your bookshelf. In an exciting collaboration with Gillian Anderson, the company has officially unveiled The X-Files LEGO set, a meticulously detailed tribute to the legendary sci-fi series.

A Masterpiece of Paranormal Detail

This isn’t just another building kit; it’s a piece of 90s nostalgia. Part of the fan-driven LEGO Ideas line, this set consists of 1,478 pieces that capture the eerie and mysterious atmosphere of the show.

The set is designed to immerse fans in the world of the FBI’s most unconventional investigators. Key highlights include:

n
• Mulder’s Office: A highly detailed replica of Fox Mulder’s workspace, complete with his iconic “I Want to Believe” poster and the “The Truth is Out There” tile.

n

• The Paranormal Elements: The set features a forest clearing scene and a hovering UFO, perfect for recreating those tense encounters with the unknown.

n

• Easter Eggs: Keen observers will spot the pencils stuck in the ceiling of Mulder’s office and a subtle nod to his sunflower seed obsession.

n

Meet the Minifigures

No X-Files LEGO set would be complete without the characters that defined a generation. This set comes packed with eight minifigures, ensuring every key player is represented:

1. Fox Mulder
2. Dana Scully
3. Walter Skinner
4. Mr. X
5. Alex Krycek
6. Carl Busch
7. The Flukeman
8. A classic grey alien

Gillian Anderson, who played the brilliant Dana Scully, expressed her delight at the project, stating that seeing herself as a minifigure was “both surreal and oddly delightful.”

From Fan Vision to Official Reality

The journey of this set began with Brent Waller, an Australian fan designer and 3-D artist. Waller submitted his vision as part of the “’90s Nostalgia Challenge” on the LEGO Ideas platform. What started as a personal project in 2014 evolved into an official product after receiving overwhelming support from the community.

According to Waller, the goal was to combine storytelling and nostalgia to capture the exact atmosphere that made The X-Files a global phenomenon.
