The story takes us far beyond the city streets. In The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen, Galleria and Chanel travel to Africa alongside Faith and her three best friends to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary.
This journey isn’t just about nature; it’s about discovery. As the four teen girls work to save the preserve, they will test the limits of their friendship, find their unique voices, and embrace the true “Cheetah spirit,” culminating in a spectacular musical performance that cements their place as the new Cheetah Girls.
A Legacy of Empowerment and Music
Originally based on the book series by Deborah Gregory, The Cheetah Girls became a cultural phenomenon after the first movie debuted in 2003. It paved the way for the era of Disney musical hits like High School Musical and Camp Rock.
According to Ayo Davis, president of Disney Kids & Family, the franchise has always been about “friendship, music, and empowering young people to use their voice.” By introducing a diverse new group of stars, Disney aims to continue this legacy of empowerment for today’s kids and families.
