
Casting Update: Supriya Ganesh to Depart ‘The Pitt,’ Ayesha Harris Elevated to Series Regular

However, this exciting news comes with a farewell. Supriya Ganesh, a familiar face to viewers as senior resident Dr. Samira Mohan since the show’s inception in Season 1, will be departing ‘The Pitt’ following the conclusion of Season 2.

Given that Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center is a teaching hospital, the natural progression of residents rotating through the program is a key element of the show’s realism.
