To ensure you don’t miss a single spark, here are the essential details for the evening:

🍔 More Than Just Fireworks: Food and Music
The celebration starts long before the first firework hits the sky. If you’re looking to make a full day of it, here is what you can expect:
- Food Trucks: Starting at 3:00 p.m., an array of delicious local eats will be available along Beach Avenue next to English Bay Beach.
- Live Entertainment: Head over to the English Bay Bathhouse rooftop for an electric lineup of music:
- 6:30 p.m.: DJ Remsta sets the mood.
- 7:30 p.m. onwards: High-energy performances by Carlotta Gurl, Eva Lasting, and Celestial Seasonings.
- Radio Simulcast: Can’t make it to the beach? You can still experience the magic via a live simulcast on Rock 101.
🚦 Traffic and Road Closures: Plan Your Trip
With thousands of people expected to flock to the West End, the City of Vancouver has implemented significant traffic controls to ensure safety. Please be aware of the following from 6:00 p.m. to midnight:
- Beach Avenue: Closed from Stanley Park to Pacific Street.
- Limited Access: Local vehicle access may be available at Thurlow Street (at Nelson and Burnaby streets) and Denman Street (at Alberni Street).
- Stanley Park: Access west of Pipeline Road will be limited after 6:00 p.m., with restricted parking.
🚆 Getting There: TransLink Updates
To avoid the congestion in the downtown core, TransLink is deploying extra services to handle the crowds:
- SkyTrain: Trains will run at high frequencies (every 2 to 3 minutes) both before and after the event. Note: Bikes are not permitted on SkyTrain after 10:30 p.m.
- Pre-Event Shuttle: A special shuttle will run between Burrard Station and the intersection of Denman and West Georgia streets from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Post-Event Shuttle: Shuttles will operate from Bidwell and West Georgia streets, dropping passengers at Burrard Station and Waterfront Station.
- SeaBus: Increased frequency (every 10-15 minutes) from 6:30 p.m. until the final sailing at 1:22 a.m. on August 1.
Pro Tip: Give yourself plenty of extra time to navigate the West End. The atmosphere will be electric, but the crowds will be large!
