R.J. Decker Welcomes David Zayas and Stephen Bishop

Exciting news for fans of the gripping crime drama, R.J. Decker! The series, inspired by Carl Hiaasen’s novel Double Whammy, has added two talented actors to its recurring cast: David Zayas (known for his iconic role in Dexter and Dexter: Resurrection) and Stephen Bishop (recognized for his work in Moneyball and Being Mary Jane).

A Look at the Series

R.J. Decker stars Scott Speedman as RJ Decker, a former newspaper photographer and ex-con navigating a new life as a private investigator in the vibrant, yet crime-ridden, landscape of South Florida. The show follows Decker as he tackles a diverse range of cases, from the peculiar to the downright dangerous, aided by his journalist ex-wife, her police detective spouse, and a mysterious figure from his past – an ally who could just as easily be his downfall.

New Faces Join the Cast

David Zayas will portray Victor Ochoa, the powerful and corrupt state senator and father of Emilia “Emi” Ochoa (Jaina Lee Ortiz). Ochoa wielded his influence to ensure RJ Decker’s imprisonment, setting the stage for a compelling conflict.

Stephen Bishop takes on the role of Bruce Vinkour, a wealthy real estate developer who finds himself entangled in the drama when Emi seeks his assistance as her father becomes a target for RJ Decker.
