Kumail Nanjiani, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and John Leguizamo to Star in ‘All Day & All Night’

Oscar nominee Kumail Nanjiani (known for his role in Eternals), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Den of Thieves), Emmy winner John Leguizamo (John Wick), and Tony winner Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts) are set to join Josh Hartnett in the upcoming action-thriller, All Day & All Night. This exciting project promises a blend of high-stakes action and comedic twists.

Behind the Scenes: The Creative Team

The film is written by Tommy Wirkola and John Niven, with Wirkola also directing. Wirkola is a Norwegian filmmaker celebrated for his work on the Violent Night and Dead Snow franchises. He’s known for his ability to balance dark humour with thrilling action sequences.

Production will be handled by Wirkola and Hartnett, alongside XYZ Films, who are also financing the project with support from IPR.VC. XYZ Films has a strong track record in the genre space, having previously collaborated with Wirkola on films like Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead and The Trip, the latter of which was released on Netflix in 2021. They also recently remade The Trip as Over Your Dead Body, set to premiere at SXSW and receive a wide theatrical release from IFC on April 24th.

The Plot: A Heist Gone Hilariously Wrong

All Day & All Night follows Billy Davies (Hartnett), a reformed bank robber who returns to a life of crime to fund his daughter’s Harvard tuition. However, a botched heist leads him and his crew (including Nanjiani and Jackson Jr.) to stumble onto the set of a struggling reality TV show. Billy must then navigate a chaotic situation involving police (Leguizamo and Fogler) and the mob, all while the show’s producers desperately try to keep it on air and boost ratings.

XYZ Films and Wirkola’s Continued Collaboration

Guy Danella, President of Film at XYZ Films, will oversee and produce the film. Wirkola is currently in post-production on Violent Night 2, slated for release in December 2026, and also has a shark thriller starring Phoebe Dynevor coming to Netflix this summer.

“We’ve assembled a group of my dream actors to join Josh on this movie, and I can’t wait to see them bring life to our eclectic crew of characters. It’s going to be a wild ride,” said Wirkola.
