Jonathan Majors Returns to the Screen: The Controversy and Action of ‘Run Hide Fight: Infidels’

The entertainment world is buzzing once again as Jonathan Majors makes his highly anticipated—and polarizing—return to acting. The actor, known for his powerhouse performances in Creed III and the MCU, is starring in Run Hide Fight: Infidels, a provocative new action film produced by The Daily Wire.

What is ‘Run Hide Fight: Infidels’ About?

Directed by Kyle Rankin, Run Hide Fight: Infidels serves as a spiritual successor to the 2020 film Run Hide Fight. The movie draws heavy inspiration from classic 80s and 90s action cinema, reminiscent of cult favorites like Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers.

The plot centers on a high-tension scenario at a liberal college. When radical terrorists hijack a pro-Palestine encampment to enforce a strict caliphate on campus, an unlikely group of students, a security guard, and a Delta Force veteran must team up. Together, they arm themselves to rescue their peers and prevent the enemy from gaining a foothold on American soil.

A Production Steeped in Controversy

From its inception, the project has sparked intense debate. Critics, including writers from the LA Times, have labeled the premise as xenophobic, arguing that the film relies on outdated tropes to monetize political outrage.

Beyond the political firestorm, the production faced significant internal turmoil:

n
• On-Set Accidents: Reports indicate that Jonathan Majors and co-star JC Kilcoyne fell through an unsecured window during filming, leading to safety concerns and a temporary crew walk-off.
• Labor Disputes: The project experienced friction between production leadership and crew members regarding working conditions.
• Political Branding: Produced by Ben Shapiro and Dallas Sonnier, the film aligns closely with the conservative viewpoints championed by The Daily Wire.

The Redemption Arc of Jonathan Majors

For Jonathan Majors, this role is more than just a movie; it is a career comeback. After a meteoric rise with roles in Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Majors saw his career stall following a 2023 domestic violence conviction that led major studios to sever ties.

While many in Hollywood shunned him, The Daily Wire provided a platform for his return. Majors is also reportedly attached to another project, a supernatural thriller titled Merciless, signaling his intent to rebuild his professional standing outside the traditional studio system.

Release Date and Where to Watch

Fans and critics alike can stream Run Hide Fight: Infidels starting September 16th, exclusively on the Daily Wire platform. Whether viewed as a bold political statement or a controversial action flick, the film is set to be one of the most discussed releases of the season.
