What’s New in Season 5?
This season, the stakes are higher than ever. Amidst a controversial government budget that has left the U.K. farming community in turmoil, Jeremy is forced to pivot. To keep Diddly Squat afloat and running smoothly, he decides to embrace a high-tech approach to farming.
This digital transformation leads to some unexpected turns, including the first-ever international trip for the fan-favourite farmhand, Kaleb Cooper. However, as always with Clarkson, “high-tech” often leads to high-stress, and new developments are heading for the farm that will challenge Jeremy and his partner, Lisa Hogan, like never before.
A Hit Show with a “Wall of Failure”
Since its debut on Prime Video in 2021, the series has become a global phenomenon. Despite the critical acclaim and massive viewership, the show has famously avoided winning a BAFTA award.
Clarkson, known for his wit, has jokingly referred to the collection of nomination certificates in his office as his “Wall of Failure,” claiming that awards bodies simply don’t hand out trophies to people like him. Regardless of the accolades, the show’s true victory lies in its ability to make the complexities of agriculture accessible and entertaining for millions.
Whether you are in it for the stunning landscapes or the hilarious clashes between Jeremy and Kaleb, Season 5 promises to be the most challenging chapter yet for the Diddly Squat farm.
