About Cirque Kalabanté

Based in Montreal, Cirque Kalabanté was founded in 2007 by Guinean artist Yamoussa Bangoura. The name “Kalabanté” originates from the Susu language, meaning a “go-getter, ambitious child with exceptional courage.” Bangoura’s vision extends beyond entertainment; the circus actively supports educational and humanitarian projects in Guinea.
