Bruce Willis’s Former Beverly Hills Mansion Sells for $41.25 Million

A breathtaking Beverly Hills mansion, once owned by iconic actor Bruce Willis, has been quietly sold for a staggering $41.25 million in an off-market deal. This sale marks a significant increase from the price Willis received when he sold the property over a decade ago.

Located within the exclusive Benedict Canyon neighborhood (ZIP code 90210), the estate was originally built in 1928. However, it has undergone extensive and luxurious renovations over the past 12 years. Images reveal a modern and fresh aesthetic seamlessly blended with the home’s historic charm.

A Glimpse Inside the Luxurious Estate

The expansive 10,300-square-foot dwelling boasts enormous windows that flood the living spaces with natural light and offer picturesque views of the meticulously landscaped gardens. Historic elements, such as exposed beams and original fireplaces, are beautifully preserved and complement the newer design details.

The property was listed by Jon Grauman, Adam Rosenfeld, and Bennett Bidwell of Resident Group. It was last purchased in 2014 by Carlos Alberini, the current CEO of Guess and former co-CEO of Restoration Hardware, for $16.5 million. Alberini later acquired the adjacent home in 2021 for $15.75 million, which is currently on the market for $17.99 million (listed January 30th).

Significant Profit for the Seller

The identity of the new owner remains undisclosed. As reported by The Real Deal, this $41.25 million sale is the second-highest residential real estate purchase in Los Angeles County this year, trailing only a $47 million sale in March.

Alberini realized a substantial profit, more than doubling his initial investment. This doesn’t include the considerable funds invested in the home’s renovations. Records indicate that several bedrooms were expanded or reconfigured during the remodeling process. When Willis sold the home, it featured 11 bedrooms; it now has seven.

Key Features of the Mansion

  • Primary Suite: A private terrace, a luxurious bathroom with a soaking tub and picture window, and two walk-in closets.
  • Living Spaces: A grand double-height entryway, a cozy living room with sliding glass doors leading to an inner courtyard, an enormous fireplace, and exposed wood beams.
  • Outdoor Areas: A large courtyard with a stone firepit, a kitchen with two islands, a breakfast bar, a wood-paneled office, a wine storage room, a private movie theater, and a wet bar.
  • Entertainment Spaces: A covered outdoor dining area with a pizza oven, a glittering swimming pool, and a pool house with a full kitchen and sports court.

The outdoor spaces are designed for entertaining, surrounded by lush trees for added privacy. A large outdoor fireplace and a meticulously maintained swimming pool complete the luxurious setting.

A History of Ownership

Prior to Alberini’s purchase in 2014, Willis spent over a year attempting to sell the property, initially listing it for $22 million in May 2013. He originally purchased the home in 2004, following his split from actress Demi Moore.

Alberini’s decision to sell both Benedict Canyon properties remains unclear. However, he owns another California residence in Manhattan Beach, purchased for $16.25 million in 2021.
