Enter the Ring: ‘Delphi’ Brings the Intensity of Creed to Amazon Video
Boxing fans and drama enthusiasts, get ready to lace up your gloves. Amazon Video is expanding the cinematic universe of the hit Creed franchise with a gripping new spinoff series titled “Delphi.”
Originally announced in May 2025, “Delphi” promises to capture the same raw emotion and athletic intensity that made the films global hits. The series follows a group of exceptionally gifted young boxers at an elite academy, each fighting not just for a championship belt, but to realize their deepest dreams and reach the absolute pinnacle of the sport.
A Powerhouse Cast Ready for Battle
The strength of any boxing drama lies in its characters, and “Delphi” boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Variety has confirmed several series regulars who will bring the heat to the screen:
- Benji Santiago as Santi Torres: A raw talent from East LA fighting to emerge from his brother’s shadow.
- Juan Castrano as Nico Torres: The naturally gifted older brother battling inner demons.
- Demián Bichir as Hector Torres: The tough-love patriarch and gym owner.
- André Holland as Teddy "T-Bone" Parker: The intellectual strategist who views boxing like a game of chess.
- Andre Royo as Elmer Tatum: The eccentric, Bronx-born “boxing encyclopedia.”
- Sofia Black-D’Elia as Bobbi Weiss: An aspiring trainer with a keen eye for talent.
- Victoria Vourkoutiotis as Kai Katsaros: A skilled but introverted fighter overcoming anxiety.
In a thrilling nod to the original films, Wood Harris will return in a recurring role as Little Duke, ensuring the legacy of the Creed films remains intact.
Behind the Scenes: The Visionaries
The series is steered by showrunner and executive producer Marco Ramirez, but the project wouldn’t be possible without the involvement of Michael B. Jordan. Jordan, the face of the Creed movies, is executive producing under his Outlier Society banner.
Joining the production team are the seasoned Winkler Films team (Irwin, David, and Charles Winkler), along with William Chartoff and José Padilha, the latter of whom is set to direct the pilot episode.
More Boxing and Beyond on Amazon Video
“Delphi” is just one piece of a larger puzzle. Amazon Video is heavily investing in high-quality storytelling through Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society. Other highly anticipated projects include:
- “The Greatest”: A limited series exploring the legendary life and activism of Muhammad Ali.
- “Fourth Wing”: A series adaptation of the viral fantasy book, also with Jordan as executive producer.
Whether you are a die-hard fan of the Creed saga or someone who loves a classic underdog story, “Delphi” is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated sports dramas of the year. Stay tuned to Amazon Video for official release dates and trailers!
