The plot offers a compelling hook: after Batman is murdered, the Joker embarks on a ruthless crusade through Gotham’s underworld to find the killer. In a strange turn of events, the Joker becomes a detective, forced to confront his own identity now that his greatest adversary is gone.
The series is being produced by animation veteran Jim Krieg, directed by Yasuhuro Aoki, and produced by Japan’s SOLA Entertainment, ensuring a high-quality anime aesthetic.
A Super-Canine Adventure with Krypto
For those looking for something lighter, an untitled series centered on Krypto the Superdog is also in development. Executive produced by C.H. Greenblatt (known for SpongeBob SquarePants), the show will follow Krypto as he hangs out with a gang of misfit criminal wannabes, inadvertently redeeming them with his pure, destructive, and lovable energy.
