SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – The Golden State Warriors continued their winning streak, defeating the Washington Wizards 131-126 in a captivating contest on Friday night. Warriors Secure Third Straight Win

Brandin Podziemski contributed a strong all-around performance with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, helping the Warriors achieve their third consecutive win – a feat they hadn’t accomplished in nearly two months. Santos added 27 points to the Warriors’ tally, with Gary Payton II and Pat Spencer chipping in with 15 and 13 points respectively.

Wizards Fall Short Despite Riley’s Performance

Despite a valiant effort from rookie Will Riley, who posted 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists, the Wizards couldn’t overcome the Warriors’ momentum. Bilal Coulibaly added 21 points, and Bub Carrington contributed 16 points and five assists for Washington. The Wizards were looking to build on their recent win against the Utah Jazz, which ended a franchise-record tying 16-game losing streak.

Santos Seals the Victory

Playing their 24th consecutive game without the injured Stephen Curry, the Warriors maintained the lead for much of the game. The Wizards briefly surged ahead in the fourth quarter, leading 111-106 with 6 1/2 minutes remaining, but their defense couldn’t contain the Warriors’ late-game push. Santos, fresh off a career-high 31-point performance against Brooklyn on Wednesday, proved pivotal down the stretch. After Riley narrowed the gap to 129-126 with a three-pointer, Santos calmly sank two free throws, and Podziemski secured the win with a timely steal.

Porzingis Dominates Early

The Warriors received an early boost from Porzingis, who showcased his versatility with a pair of three-pointers and two rebounds during a dominant run in the first quarter, helping Golden State establish a 38-25 lead.
