Who Qualifies for the Fidelity Data Breach Settlement?

- The notice informed you that your financial account number and routing number were compromised between August 17 and August 19, 2024.
If you did not receive a notice, it is recommended to check your email or postal mail for communications from Fidelity Investments during that period.
How Much Money Can You Receive?
The compensation structure varies based on the type of loss you suffered. Here is the breakdown of the potential payments:
- Documented Monetary Losses: Class members can claim up to $5,000 for out-of-pocket losses directly related to the breach. This includes unreimbursed fraud, identity theft losses, professional fees, and credit expenses. (Note: You must provide receipts or bills; self-prepared documents are not accepted).
- Basic Cash Payment: All eligible class members can receive a pro rata cash payment of approximately $100, depending on the total number of claims filed.
- California Residents: Thanks to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), residents of California may be eligible for an additional $50 payment.
- Identity Protection: Eligible members can receive two years of identity theft protection and credit monitoring, including $1 million in fraud and identity theft insurance.
